Lord of the Lamps // June 2022

Final Project for Animation I: recreating a 30-second live action scene using inanimate objects. This is a recreation of the scene in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in which Eowyn kills the Witch-king—except all the characters are replaced by lamps. Modeled, lit and animated in Maya; textures and sky matte paintings created using Krita; keyed and composited in DaVinci Resolve 17.


Run Roomba Run // September 2022

A small, office-dwelling helper robot is taking care of one of its vacuum buddies when an unexpected threat appears. Final project for Animation II: designing, modeling, rigging, and animating a robot character using FK and IK rigging techniques. Modeled, rigged, and animated in Maya; textures created using Krita; edited in DaVinci Resolve 17.


Pool Crossing // April 2022

A looping animation of two pool balls at a railroad crossing. Modeled and animated in Maya; texture maps created in Krita. Created for Animation I.


Great Racing // April 2022

A “great race” featuring a giant slow but steady die and an energetic yet erratic tire wheel. Modeled and animated in Maya; texture maps and sky backgrounds created in Krita; composited using DaVinci Resolve 17. Created for Animation I.

A quick study of movement and weight using different types of balls. Modeled and animated in Maya; texture maps created in Krita. Created for Animation I.
